What is a Heat Pump Water Heater?
A heat pump water heater is an electric water heater that heats water by moving heat from the surrounding air into the tank, rather than creating heat directly with electric resistance elements. Because it moves heat instead of generating all of it, it can use much less electricity than a standard electric water heater often roughly 2–4 times more efficient. The tradeoffs are that it usually costs more upfront, needs enough surrounding air space, makes some fan compressor noise, and dehumidifies the room it sits in. Every morning they were on time and immediately got to work. They were diligent about keeping the work spaces clean and communicated clearly the timeline and when we would and would not have water. As part of the repipe they also replaced a sink faucet, our water heater, and installed a water softener. Every time I had a question, Boris made sure to answer with a clear explanation that removed any concerns I had. The best part was that the job was estimated to take four days, but the crew got it done in three!

They were very courteous, they covered everything that needed to be covered, and only walked on the floor coverings. Every afternoon/ evening they cleaned up all work spaces. Andre communicated what they had worked on and what work would be done the next day. The work took 3 days, and they were here on time all 3 day ready to work putting down the floor coverings and getting to it. It is not an easy job, but they did it with integrity to make sure it was done right.

Let me count the ways! We first came across them years ago after getting an outrageous quote from a different HVAC company for a new water heater install for a two story duplex. Not only did Super Brothers offer a fair quote on their first visit, but they went above and beyond getting the heavy water heater into the attic of a 2 story duplex. Most recently this year, I had them install two new toilets in my house, a new sink in a bathroom and they serviced my air conditioner. All done with professionalism and patience. In between those two services, we've also had them install a new shower cartridge in an older home, a complete repipe to fix a leak and increase water pressure and a new electric water heater in an older home. If Super Brothers offers the service, that's who I'm calling. 7 stars. Highly recommended!

But as things tend to do, the project increased in scope to replacing our old galvanized pipes. As Dima from SB said, there was no point in a filter if we were going to push the water through those pipes! Given that we had the baby on the way, he and his team reorganized their schedule so that they could repipe our entire house before we moved in. They did quick and quality work and the price was competitive. I wouldn't hesitate to call them for my next plumbing project.
