What is a Heat Pump Water Heater?
A heat pump water heater is an electric water heater that heats water by moving heat from the surrounding air into the tank, rather than creating heat directly with electric resistance elements. Because it moves heat instead of generating all of it, it can use much less electricity than a standard electric water heater often roughly 2–4 times more efficient. The tradeoffs are that it usually costs more upfront, needs enough surrounding air space, makes some fan compressor noise, and dehumidifies the room it sits in. What is a Tankless Water Heater?
A tankless water heater heats water only when you turn on a hot-water faucet. There is no big water tank storing gallons of hot water. Once you turn on the hot water, cold water flows through the unit a gas burner or electric heating element heats it very quickly you get hot water out of the faucet or shower. So compared with a normal tank heater: Tankless heater, heats water on demand as it passes through. The main benefit is that you don’t waste as much energy keeping stored water hot, and you can get a long continuous supply of hot water. The catch is that it can only heat so many gallons per minute at once, so proper unit & sizing for your household matters.
What is a Gas Hot Water Heater?
A gas water heater uses a gas to heat your water. In a regular tank gas water heater: Cold water enters the tank and gas burner underneath lights the flame to heat the tank and the water inside. It usually burns natural gas or propane. If the tank is completely cold and you want to heat the water from about 60°F to 120°F, a typical residential gas water heater might take roughly: 50 gallons: about 50–70 minutes | 60 gallons: about 60–80 minutes | 80 gallons: about 75–110 minutes. The exact time depends heavily on how powerful the gas burner is. A 50-gallon heater with a 40,000 BTU burner will heat more slowly than one with a 60,000 BTU burner.

Scheduled the work to be done and the electrician who came out was also professional and nice. Completed the work on time and verified power was working. Even patched up the wall (surprise because I had minor work done with another company that left open holes in my walls). Super Brothers handled the permits and setting up the inspection. On day of inspection I called to coordinate the inspection time and they handled the final inspection with the city. My wife chose this company, I should have listened to her in the first place and would have saved myself a headache and money from the first company I chose. Super Brothers is super.

We first came across them years ago after getting an outrageous quote from a different HVAC company for a new water heater install for a two story duplex. Not only did Super Brothers offer a fair quote on their first visit, but they went above and beyond getting the heavy water heater into the attic of a 2 story duplex. Most recently this year, I had them install two new toilets in my house, a new sink in a bathroom and they serviced my air conditioner. All done with professionalism and patience. In between those two services, we've also had them install a new shower cartridge in an older home, a complete repipe to fix a leak and increase water pressure and a new electric water heater in an older home. If Super Brothers offers the service, that's who I'm calling. 7 stars. Highly recommended!

Every afternoon/ evening they cleaned up all work spaces. Andre communicated what they had worked on and what work would be done the next day. The work took 3 days, and they were here on time all 3 day ready to work putting down the floor coverings and getting to it. It is not an easy job, but they did it with integrity to make sure it was done right.

But as things tend to do, the project increased in scope to replacing our old galvanized pipes. As Dima from SB said, there was no point in a filter if we were going to push the water through those pipes! Given that we had the baby on the way, he and his team reorganized their schedule so that they could repipe our entire house before we moved in. They did quick and quality work and the price was competitive. I wouldn't hesitate to call them for my next plumbing project.
